An auction of original artworks & prize raffle in support of the Grenfell community.

    ABOUT ART FOR GRENFELL

The Art for Grenfell Initiative is a support and fundraising project by London artists in recognition of the survivors of the Grenfell Disaster. The aim is to use art to create a tangible connection between the Grenfell Community and the people of London.

Each artist participating in the Art for Grenfell Initiative has gifted two original pieces of work — one will be part of a collective gift to the Grenfell Residents from London’s artist community, the other will be auctioned at Lumen Gallery in Kings Cross to support the Grenfell Community.

Lumen Gallery has generously gifted their beautiful exhibition space and are also foregoing commission on work sold in support of the Art for Grenfell Initiative.

The work can be seen in advance of the auction on preview day, Saturday 16th September, or during the week. All works will be auctioned on the evening of Thursday 21st September at Lumen Gallery.

    WHAT'S HAPPENING
    TO THE FUNDS WE RAISE?

Al Manaar, the Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre Mosque and Community Centre, a charity organisation based in Ladbroke Grove, will distribute funds raised by the Art for Grenfell Initiative.

Al Manaar was amongst the first organisations on the ground supporting and assisting people in the immediate aftermath of the fire. They have completed the first phase of distributing some £20,000 donated to them in support of the Grenfell fire survivors. They are now establishing a committee comprising representatives from the community to work with them to decide how best to distribute the next tranche of funds, to which the Art for Grenfell Initiative will contribute.

We also hope to collaborate with them for the second part of our Initiative: Money Can’t Buy.

Al Manaar is a UK-registered charity, registration number 1059085
